We Build Sheet Metal Workers

What You’ll Do on the Jobsite:

• As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will design, fabricate, and install ductwork for HVAC systems, ensuring efficient heating, cooling, and ventilation in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• You will fabricate and install metal roofing systems, including flashing, gutters, and downspouts, providing durable and weather-resistant protection for buildings.
• You will create custom metal components for various construction projects, including architectural elements, cladding, and ornamental work that enhance building design.
• You will weld and assemble metal components for various structures, ensuring that all parts are securely joined and meet the required specifications for strength and stability.
• You will perform tasks that require high levels of precision and attention to detail, ensuring that all components fit perfectly and meet design and safety standards.

What You’ll Learn in the Apprenticeship Program:

• As a Sheet Metal Worker apprentice, you will learn to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal into various components using hand tools, power tools, and advanced machinery.
• You will receive training in installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, focusing on creating and fitting ducts, vents, and other essential components that ensure proper airflow and temperature control.
• You will develop proficiency in welding and soldering, essential techniques for joining metal parts securely and creating durable assemblies used in construction and industrial applications.
• You will learn to read and interpret construction drawings, architectural drawings, and layout plans, allowing you to accurately measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal parts according to project specifications.
• You will gain extensive safety training, including the proper handling of tools and materials, working in confined spaces, and following OSHA guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment.
