What You’ll Do on the Jobsite:

• As a Construction Teamster, you are responsible for delivering essential materials like sand, gravel, concrete, and steel to job sites, ensuring projects have what they need to progress.
• You may operate dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy vehicles to move large quantities of materials efficiently and safely around construction sites.
• Teamsters are tasked with moving heavy construction machinery, such as bulldozers and excavators, from one site to another, requiring careful planning and execution.
• Teamsters play a key role in road construction projects, delivering asphalt, concrete, and other materials, and operating vehicles that assist in paving and surfacing roads.
• Teamsters work closely with other trades to ensure that materials and equipment are delivered exactly when and where they're needed, keeping the project on track.

What You’ll Learn in the Apprenticeship Program:

• As a Teamster apprentice, you will receive extensive training in operating a range of construction vehicles, from dump trucks to flatbeds, ensuring you can handle various tasks with confidence and precision.
• You will gain knowledge in the logistics of transporting construction materials, including load securement, route planning, and efficient delivery techniques to keep job sites running smoothly.
• The program teaches you basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills, allowing you to keep vehicles and equipment in top working condition and avoid downtime.
• You will learn the critical safety standards and regulations that govern construction transport, ensuring your work meets industry requirements and keeps you and your colleagues safe on the job.
