As a Project Superintendent, you hold a position that is vital to the day-to-day operations of a construction project. You are responsible for managing on-site activities, coordinating trades, and ensuring the project progresses according to the schedule and quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll serve as the main point of contact on the job site, overseeing the work of subcontractors and ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. Your role is crucial to maintaining site productivity and ensuring the successful execution of the project.

Employer-Recommended Qualifications:

  • Complete an apprenticeship program or relevant field experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree recommended (PNW pathway program/construction or related field).
  • 5+ years of field experience in construction, with supervisory or leadership roles.

Core Responsibilities:


  • Manage daily on-site operations and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and trades.
  • Ensure the project stays on schedule and meets key milestones.
  • Monitor job site safety and enforce compliance with safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager to address any issues or delays.
  • Resolve on-site challenges and provide leadership to ensure smooth project execution.
 

Essential Skills:


  • Technical expertise in reading construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution on-site.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing daily operations, subcontractors, and schedules.
  • Problem-solving abilities to quickly address on-site challenges and keep the project on track.
  • Effective communication for collaborating with the project management team, trades, and subcontractors.
