Purdue University North Central

The Purdue University North Central construction engineering and management technology program will prepare graduates with the technical and management skills necessary to enter careers in the fast growing construction field, operation and/or maintenance of the built environment and global infrastructure. Our programs are designed for those with hands-on aptitude and an orientation towards the application of engineering technology. The curricula we deliver integrate extensive hands-on laboratory experiences with an appropriate level of theory and cover subject matter in the technical discipline, mathematics, science, and general education. The construction engineering and management technology program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc.

All graduates of the BS degree in Construction Engineering and Management Technology will have developed a depth of understanding sufficient for employment in the field of construction and/or to allow for continuing education toward an advanced degree. Students holding the baccalaureate degree in Construction Engineering and Management Technology will thoroughly understand the construction process, construction systems, and shall be able to use this understanding in the preparation of construction drawings, using appropriate software and utilizing the design, construction and operations documents.
